Police were called to the address for reports of two roommates arguing over the thermostat. And one claimed the other pulled a knife. Police commissioner William Evans said when the officers went inside, 33yearold Kirk Figueroa who was wearing a bulletproof vest opened fire. He quickly displayed a rifle and without provocation, basically, omd fire on our two officers matt morris and Richard Cintolo were shot multiple times before they were rescued by fellow officers.
