(Tim Middagh/The Globe) WORTHINGTON Innumerable opportunities for communities to stand together and support each other arose in 2020, not the least of which was a June 2 protest down Worthington s Oxford Street expressing outrage at the May 25 death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. Hundreds of Worthington and area residents gathered for the peaceful protest, many clad in white and brandishing signs that called for police reform and justice for Floyd. Protesters were joined by Worthington Police Chief Troy Appel and Capt. Nate Grimmius, Mayor Mike Kuhle, District 22 Sen. Bill Weber and District 22B Rep. Rod Hamilton.
