A desire to make things better is what has kept her here all these years she s 78 and moved here when she was 2 months old. She s still dedicating all her time and energy to making the WorldBeat Cultural Center a space for celebration, education and unity for all cultures. It has definitely not been easy, but she says she s seeing the results of her hard work in a changing San Diego, and though many community accolades.
