World Vision distributes vegetable seeds for food production

MARAWI CITY, May 25 (PIA) The World Vision Philippines turned over a total of 400 packs of vegetable seeds to its partner communities in Barangays Rapasun, Cadayonan 2, Malimono, Tuca-Ambolong and Cadayonan 1.  Each barangay received 20 packs per variety of vegetable seeds which include eggplant, pechay, okra and string beans. The City Agriculture office recommended what vegetable seeds are appropriate to the areas.  As a component of the Urban Child Protection Project, this aims to encourage families to plant and produce their own food for their children that will be of help to boost proper nutrition.  This activity is in line with the Marawi Week of Peace being held from May 17 to 23, 2021. Marawi learners, parents undergo MHPSS activity

MARAWI CITY, May 19 (PIA) Ninety parents and 60 learners from Marawi Central Elementary Pilot School (MCEPS) - Temporary Learning Spaces, underwent mental health and psychosocial support activity in line with the conduct of Marawi Week of Peace. The learners painted their perspective of peace on shirts while the parents wrote and drew their idea of peace.

He said he can use the school supplies especially the school bag in the next school year. The 13-year old learner also expressed his excitement and appreciation saying it will help cut their budget for school supplies. Panalamat ako ka mala a myalebat sa gasto ami sa ipamasa sa bago a bag, he said. (I am thankful as this will reduce our budget for purchasing a new school bag.
