Following the Thirty-Second Intersessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which was held virtually on 24th-25th February 2021, the CARICOM Prime Ministers and Presidents issued the following statement on access to COVID-19 vaccines:
“The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is dissatisfied and deeply concerned about the inequitable access to vaccines for Small Developing States like those of the Community.
CARICOM calls for equitable access to vaccines in order to curb the impact of the pandemic, to protect our citizens and bolster the economy. As the virus does not discriminate, access to vaccines should not be discriminatory, with a few countries dominating the market with their
