Now under the World Foods Championships brand, the International Chili Society closed out their 2020 season with the fourth annual Palm Coast Chili Cook-off on Dec. 4-6.
Once again, the event drew competitors from states across the nation, including Oregon, Washington, New York, Virginia, Michigan and South Carolina, for two chances to attend the World Championship Chili Cook-off in 2021 as world qualifiers.
Stepping in as chief scorekeeper, Vickie Marnick, manager of the International Chili Society for nearly 20 years, said it’s the opportunity for competitors – known as “chiliheads” – to participate in a multi-day event that makes the cross-country travel worth the trip.
