The holidays may be over for many, but there’s still plenty happening around Aotearoa. Tāmaki Makaurau’s central business district is getting yet another.

There would also be spectacular lantern displays, food and drinks, and free outdoor family entertainment. ChristchurchNZ chief executive Joanna Norris said the event had been scheduled for 2020, but was postponed due to Covid-19.

Panda lanterns light up central Christchurch in 2019 as part of the city’s lantern festival.
