One issue that arose during the blizzard was drivers disregarding the city’s no travel advisory, which Schroeder said led to vehicles getting stuck on roads while plow drivers were moving snow.
“This is more of a detailed approach in targeting hot spots that would give you the best bang for your buck as far as removing nutrients from Firesteel watershed,” said Public Works Director Joe Schroeder, who explained how the NRCS program works with farmers.
“Until we know we’re getting better quality of water coming in through Firesteel Creek, I think this would be useless. When we do vote on it, I will be voting no,” Councilman Dan Allen said.
