That number represents 63 fewer cases than reported in last week’s update of 170 new cases, according to a statement from the office of Worcester City Manager Edward Augustus Jr. In total, Worcester has seen 23,579 coronavirus cases through the pandemic and 424 residents have died from the virus, which is two more since last week. There are 35 inpatients with COVID-19 at Saint Vincent Hospital and UMass Memorial Health combined, the city said, a decrease of 17 from last week. There are 15 patients in the intensive care unit, which is one less since Tuesday.

In anticipation of the move from the hybrid learning model, a virtual meeting will be held on Tuesday to answer the questions of parents and guardians.
