Led by U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey, and U.S. Reps. James McGovern and Lori Trahan, the letter was signed by 28 other local officials and state leaders, including State Sen. President Emerita Harriette Chandler, Worcester Mayor Joseph M. Petty and the City Council.

All six crew members were killed. Foley was 28. Back in Worcester were his wife, Elizabeth, and young daughter, Pamela.
