Forty years ago police offered a $250,000 reward for information after a Christmas Eve bomb blast at Woolworths, the third in nine days.

Police are expecting a strong public response to a $250,000 reward offered by Woolworths Ltd after the Christmas Eve bombing of the chain s big Town Hall store in Sydney. The reward, the largest ever offered in Australia, is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for explosions at three Woolworths stores in the past nine days.
