Where is it and what is it? (Picture: Norman Holloway) The date stone of 1781 high up above Boots Pharmacy on the former Woolpack Hotel in Stricklandgate. It was at one time, one of the town’s most popular venues for parties and wedding receptions. After it’s closure in 1997, it became a fast food outlet which then ceased trading in 2019.
