Perth Fringe World artists may finally have achieved their goal to pressure festival organiser Artrage to cut fossil fuel ties, with the company signalling it will not renew its principal partnership contract with Woodside Petroleum.
Artists have protested throughout the past two years of the festival, the world’s third-largest, as the 10-year contract with Woodside neared expiry, asking Artrage not to renew.
Woodside has been a sponsor of Perth’s Fringe World since 2012.
