“Have you eaten with us before?” Fred Darricarrere asks when I call in an order to Rosemary Bistro Cafe, the restaurant he opened in Upper Northwest D.C. in July. “No,” I reply, not letting on that I’m a restaurant critic. “Ah! Thefts from vehicles
Money was taken from three vehicles between Feb. 9 and 13. Two thefts happened in the 7800 block of Heatherton Lane and the other happened in the 13400 block of Ridge Drive.
Vehicle thefts
A vehicle was taken in the 9900 block of Juniper Hill Road between 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 and 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 11.
A vehicle was taken in the 14800 block of Rolling Green Way around 5:45 a.m. on Feb. 11. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked and running. It was recovered the same day.

Tastee Diner temporarily closes in Bethesda
Bethesda’s Tastee Diner on Woodmont Avenue has temporarily closed this month for the second time during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The diner had a sign posted on its door that it had temporarily closed because of Montgomery County’s executive order that bans indoor dining. On Dec. 15, the County Council approved the order, which still allows takeout, delivery and outdoor dining.
