With their backs against the wall on Senior Night, the Woodland High School varsity football team went back to basics and did what they have done best this year in hopes of getting that first victory, pounding the rock with star junior running back Diego Bautista.
Led by three touchdowns from junior running back Landon Dahler, the Pioneer High School varsity football team (4-2) emptied out any leftover frustration from last week's loss on top of rivals Woodland High School (0-6), via a 35-14 Golden Empire League opening win Friday night.
