The 5-year-old pit bull mix named Donatello arrived as a stray at Woodford Humane Society in Versailles in May 2019 and has been looking for a family ever since.
“You see a whole lot of backyard breeding … and a whole lot of dogs being pumped out into the system for money," said Sara Ondrako from the American Pit Bull Foundation.
