UK records FOUR more Covid deaths the day after fatalities fell to one as 1,946 more people test positive

THE UK today recorded four more Covid deaths after just one new fatality was reported yesterday.
A further 1,946 new cases were confirmed, meaning 4,423,796 have now tested positive for the bug since the start of the pandemic.

A total of 127,543 Covid deaths have now been recorded in the UK overall.
The last time the figure was so low was on August 30 last year, meaning today s rise in deaths is the second lowest number in eight months.
Last Tuesday, 17 fatalities were reported in Britain, after 33 were recorded on the same day the week before.

The farcical five-year prosecution collapsed on Tuesday after the judge said the only evidence against the vets had been obtained unfairly.
General Lord Dannatt, a former head of the armed forces, welcomed the acquittal and said the trial had been an “outrage”.
“I am delighted that the case has collapsed,” he told The Sun.
