Today’s obituaries: Bruce Martin worked at Carrier, experienced Covid complications

Bruce Gordon Martin, 82, of Chittenango, died Saturday following a brief hospitalization for Covid, according to his obituary.
In 1956, Martin was named Athlete of the Year at Chittenango High School, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He graduated from Chittenango the same year.
After graduation, Martin successfully led Martin Farms, the family farming business in Cazenovia.
He also worked as an electrical control board quality control specialist for Carrier Corporation. Later, he worked as a sales representative for Chase Pitkin, and served on the Town of Sullivan assessment review board.
