IT was a family affair for two Wirral brothers when they arrived at HMS Collingwood to start the next phase of their training for the Royal Navy. Brothers Max and Oskar Wharrie, 19 and 17, both joined the Navy in October last year and are now taking part in Underwater Warfare Training course, utilising Collingwood’s state of the art training facilities. The former Woodchurch High School pupils are following in some familiar footsteps because, as they arrived for the next stage of training, cousin Jacob Wharrie has successfully completed his Weapon Engineering course at the same establishment.
