The Woodbine Fire Department responded to a structure fire Wednesday night that is now under investigation.
The fire department was dispatched to the fire on Owens Branch Road off of Ky. 779 in the Rockholds community about 9 p.m. Wednesday night.
No residents were inside the two-story farmhouse when crews arrived.
Battalion chief Rickie Fore said that it took crews about 25 to 30 minutes to knock down the flames. Crews were on the scene until approximately 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Woodbine was the primary department who responded. They were aided by Little Poplar Creek, Oak Grove, Patterson Creek, and South Whitley fire departments.
One Person Extracted from Vehicle Following Crash in Woodbine
Authorities in Cape May County say one person had to be extracted from a vehicle following a crash Thursday evening in Woodbine.
According to a post on the Dennis Volunteer Fire Company s Facebook page, they, along with members of the Woodbine Fire Department, were dispatched to a crash with possible entrapment on County Route 610 near Mouse Trap Lanes around 6:15 Thursday night.
Their report says,
Units arrived on location to find one occupant heavily entrapped in a vehicle. Squad 18, Rescue 18, and Utility 18 responded to the scene and assisted Station 16 with patient extrication. Due to the severity of the entrapment, Ocean View Volunteer Fire Co. was also requested.
