VICTIM: Cole Kershaw A TEENAGE gunman accused of murdering young boxer Cole Kershaw has claimed he got the weapon on the day of the shooting for “protection”. Giving evidence in his own defence at Manchester Crown Court Kamran Mohammed alleged that he did a deal to obtain the pistol in return for transporting drugs. He told a jury that he felt he had needed the gun as, two days before the shooting he had been attacked by Spencer Woods and hit in the face with a hammer. Mohammed, who admits Cole’s manslaughter but denies murder, claimed that on August 10 last year he had been a passenger in his friend, Raheem Hall’s Corsa when it was smashed into by Woods’ Mondeo, which then blocked their vehicle in.
