對此，中央流行疫情指揮中心表示，疫苗生產及倉儲物流人員納入公費對象，是經過傳染病防治諮詢會預防接種組（ACIP）開會決定的，大家一致同意開放施打。指揮官陳時中說，若這些人染疫，「我們大概也睡不著覺」。
發言人莊人祥表示，疫苗生產及倉儲物流人員納入公費對象，是在ACIP工作小組討論過的議題，這些人包括流感疫苗、新冠肺炎疫苗的都列在其中。經過討論，ACIP在6月20日的大會一致同意這些人員納入公費對象，他們類似第一線衛生單位的人員。
陳時中表示，1-8類公費對象不是今天才出來的，大家想想看，如果今天物流倉儲人員真的有人染疫，和疫苗有關，事情也很嚴重，有這樣的情況，我們大概也是睡不著覺。當然我們認為這樣的風險低，但是檢驗封緘的人員風險就不一定了，先保護起來，運送上就不用太擔心。
