that mr. oo mara is always pushing te envelope and he did it here, again. you would be predisposed to think any veeming on a 911 call would be of your son and not the guy that just shot him. you don t want it to be your son s fault that it happened. courtney, let me answer this. the jury is comprised of all women. when women jurors are listening to such testimony, do you think it makes a difference as opposed to if there were fathers on that jury? absolutely. you always hear mothers say, i can hear my child in a screaming shopping center or mall. mothers seem to know their child s voice. for the jurors, i think it was especially compelling that you had this grieving mother who has lost this wonderful child of hers and she s articulating that, yes, that is his voice and there s no doubt about it and she would be the best person to be able to identify his voice.

enough things there for the jury if they should decide they want to convict zimmerman to do so. they have three of the witnesses who say they saw zimmerman on top. i want to talk about the mother of trayvon martin. she s going to take the witness stand. our heart goes out to her. she has gone through an awful lot. she lost her son. she is going to say that s my son yelling for help. do you even cross-examine her? i don t think you do. that s a great point. i would probably say no. the biggest fear for the defense is those six women jurors have such sympathy for her and the pain she felt they don t want to give her more pain. gregg: get her off the stand as quick as you can. they won t gain anything from her. there is enough there for the defense to argue in their
highly politically charged case so i don t expect that will happen because of that alone but it could happen and i ve had it happen before. no proof beyond a reasonable doubt there is not second-degree murder, the case should be done. shannon: how much do you think the makeup of the jury is going to make people feel? there are six women. i think that is great. in my experience, women are tougher. they use more common sense, they don t debt distracted. i think women jurors are better than men. it disagree. let s not forget, zimmerman had a gun and martin had a bag of skittles. come on jim, the weapon was the concrete sidewalk. that was his weapon. he was bashing his own head into the sidewalk. that is deadly force that can be met by deadly force in self-defense. that is what happened.
women as well as anyone can understand being profiled. women know what it s like to be treated in the workplace differently than a man. so i think those kind of words, those $10 words i think are very powerful and really communicate to the jury that, you know, a lot of different things that are important, the prosecutor is trying to get here in making the argument to the jury. lisa, the $10 words event effective? i like the phrase $10 words. you know, i don t know if it s any more effective with women than men? women jurors and men jurors tend to decide things the same way. ultimately it s going to come down to the forensic evidence. i was particularly moved today by the prosecutor s argument opening, for example, that george zimmerman said that trayvon martin had his hands over zimmerman s nose and mouth. we know that zimmerman s nose was bleeding, yet there was no blood entree von martin s fingers nor on his fingernails nor on the cuffs of the two shirts he was wearing. i thoug
