Washington, DC – United States Marshal for the District of New Mexico Sonya K. Chavez received the 2022 Women in Federal Law Enforcement Foundation President’s Award at the Women in Federal Law Enforcement 22nd Annual Leadership Training in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, August 10. WIFLE presented the award, given to individuals for outstanding achievement in government service, to Chavez for her multi-decade commitment to public service and advancement and influence of women in federal law enforcement.
