NEW BEDFORD The newest addition to the downtown landscape isn t a business, but rather an opportunity.
Emerging from a tiny office on the second floor of 135 Union St., Women s Fund Southcoast has found a new home downtown at 65 William St., a first-floor storefront with floor-to-ceiling windows on the corner of William Street and Acushnet Avenue. Located diagonally from the Custom House Square park and across the street from the New Bedford satellite campus of Bristol Community College, the Women s Fund hopes the new location will be a symbol of how outward facing they are. We want to be a community resource, said Executive Director Joanne Murray. We want to build a community of caring.
