The Women’s Club of Evanston bustled with attendees for the sixth annual Center for Native American and Indigenous Research Symposium on Thursday. Revolving around the theme of “Indigenous Futures,” the two-day symposium runs from Thursday morning through Friday afternoon. The event began at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and a welcome by CNAIR director and SESP.
Jürgen Krauss, a contestant from the 2021 season of the "Great British Bake Off" is coming all the way from the United Kingdom to make desserts and play music for The Newberry Consort’s Gala Reception, “Kuchen und Posaunen” (cake and trombone), on May 14 at the Women’s Club of Evanston.

EVANSTON, IL More Evanston homes were sold in 2020 than any year in over a decade, with two residential sales exceeding last year s top most expensive sale.
Sales of Evanston condos, townhomes and single-family residences have been so hot the median sales price surpassed the median listing price for the final five months of the year.
By December 2020, the median closing price reached $450,000, according to Realtor.com listing data, more than 23 percent above the price tag of the median listing.
