A company that contracts with Baltimore city government has been found to have an “utter disregard” for the city's requirements to use women- and minority-owned subcontractors. As a result, Metra Industries has been barred from doing business with the city for the next two years.
The Baltimore Inspector General has referred a city contractor to law enforcement for prosecution after an investigation showed the company falsified payments to minority and women-owned businesses that were required by its agreement with the city.
