A Dublin mum is doing her 19th Women’s Mini Marathon in aid of a charity that helps her daughter battle a horrific skin disease.

Louise Kearney’s training was going well, she smiles wryly, but after returning to her running club “they do push you, and you’re part of a lovely community” she began to experience “a niggle” when running. “I don’t know if it’s because I ran faster than I usually do.”

Sorcha Ní Riain’s training is going well she is trying to get out for three to four runs a week. “I try to make two or three sessions with the club, maybe a park run. And sometimes if I’m lucky I can squeeze in a run on my break from work.”

Mother of two and SNA Sharon Felton reports that her training is “going really well,” despite her having had a busy couple of weeks she organised the Darkness into Light walk in her local area, and had her son’s Confirmation the same day.
