NAVI MUMBAI: Two brothers from Tamil Nadu got a “gift of love and care” they could never have imagined. The brothers were reunited with their mother, Manju Begum Shaikh, who was lost over 28 years ago due to her psychiatric problem. The reunion took place at the SEAL Ashram shelter for the homeless in New Panvel on Wednesday.
“Manju Begum had gone missing from her home in Thiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu in1993 as her mental illness got worse. In 2012, she was found wandering in Panvel. She was admitted to our Social and Evangelical Association for Love shelter where she was counselled and given psychiatric treatment,” said founder of SEAL, Pastor K M Philip, adding that it was a miracle she survived so long on the streets.
