Striker Nigel Sanderson scored his second hat trick of the season, in leading the Panthers to a 3-0 victory over the Rebels, to halt their recent slide in the BVIFA Super 6 Series. Sunday’s victory in Greenland, kept their hopes of reaching the knockout stages alive.
“Both teams came out with their A game but I got two chances early and I capitalized on them to put us up 2-0, so that gave my team a confidence booster going into the second half,” Sanderson, who has a league leading 13 goals told Island Sun Sports. “In the second half, we came out viscous. We came out to win, to keep the three points in the bag. I got another one again to make it 3-nil in the sixty something minute and then we just sealed off the game from there. My team defended hard and they played well.”
