Manchester jeweller Nick Withington, owner of William May Jewellers, Mays Pawnbrokers and Jewellers, and co-owner of online jewellery brand Wolf & Gypsy, has been given a national industry award for his outstanding work in 2020.
Withington was given the award of ‘Retail Titan’ in the jewellery industry’s trade magazine Professional Jeweller’s Power List 2021, specifically in recognition of the outstanding sales figures that his company, William May Jewellers, has seen over the past year of lockdowns.
William May Jewellers, which has grown to become the UK’s biggest online pre-owned jewellery business, saw sales jump by 100% during the first lockdown in March 2020, rising to a massive 250% uptick throughout November and December last year.
