The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team has a six-day gap between games, as SU will take on N.C. State this Sunday. With the in mind, we decided to take a look at how Orange alumni are doing in the NBA.
We start with the elder-statesman Carmelo Anthony, who’s averaging 12.8 PPG along with 3.3 RPG, which is a career low for him in rebounds. Well you can’t beat father time, that’s yet proven here yet again. He’s also averaging a career low in minutes with 25.7 minutes per game. With CJ McCollum out with an apparent fractured left foot, Anthony could see more time. Other than Damian Lillard, Anthony is one of the only other players on that Blazers team who could score the rock in bunches. He is also a veteran so the team will look for him to pick up the slack amidst McCollum’s absence. (via Basketball Reference)
