With Mississippi becoming only the second state to open coronavirus vaccinations to everyone 16 and older, our top health official isn t worried about a surge of visitors from other parts of the country coming here to get their shots. Doctor Thomas Dobbs says the Health Department will monitor the so-called vaccine tourism to see if it becomes a problem. The Mississippi vaccinations are intended for state residents and those from other states who work in Mississippi but no effort is made to guarantee that other people aren t getting shots too.
