JUST IN: Fuel theft- Two Zimbos severely burnt in SA

Two Zimbabwean men were last Thursday evening severely burnt while illegally drawing fuel from a pipeline in Kendal area near Phola, South Africa.
Ngoni Nyamuruma (25) and Vimbai Magorosi (35) have since been arrested and are recuperating at Witbank General Hospital under police guard.
South Africa’s organised crime unit, the Hawks is now investigating the matter.
Hawks spokesperson, Captain Dineo Sekgotodi said the suspects will appear at the Phola Magistrate court this week facing charges of malicious damage to property.
“The pair were arrested after Transnet control room detected a fuel pressure drop on the pipeline. Authorities responded to the identified spot and apprehended one suspect who attempted to run away,” she said.

JOHANNESBURG - The Health Department in Mpumalanga has suspended two nurses after a stillborn baby s body went missing at the Witbank General Hospital.
A 34-year-old mother was left traumatised when she was given the wrong baby after her own died.
She was told the body of her baby was taken to the hospital mortuary but just before the burial it was nowhere to be found.
The departments Dumisani Malamule said the facility admitted to switching the bodies due to human error.

Provincial Health J MEC Sasekani Manzini confirmed the incident, saying the body should have been kept in the mortuary. “But I want to assure the community that I’ve already spoken to the family and at the hospital, there is already an investigation in terms of what really happened. So far I can confirm that two officials are going to be suspended but we want to assure that the family I’ve already spoken to them we convey our condolences to the family and community of Emalahleni.”
