LAKE COUNTY, IL Traffic delays in Lake County dissipated within hours of a jackknifed semi truck blocking three northbound lanes of I-94 just north of the Illinois-Wisconsin state line.
During the closure, traffic was diverted off the highway and onto Russel Road in Lake County. An Illinois Department of Transportation spokesperson confirmed to Patch the interstate reopened some time before 11:30 a.m.
Another crash slightly farther north on I-94 also impacted traffic on Tuesday. Another jackknifed semi truck has led to partial lane closures, but the crash was later cleared.
