Though many brewers in Wisconsin are male, there is a burgeoning growth of women brewers in the area, including at breweries in Baraboo, Wisconsin Dells, and beyond.
The majority of Wisconsin brewmasters are male. It wasn’t until 2005 when Jamie Baertsch became the first female brewmaster in Wisconsin. She, along with fellow female brewmaster Teri Fahrendorf, eventually came to found the Pink Boots Society, an organization that supports, inspires and encourages women and non-binary people in the brewing industry.
Reed Andrew has always had a love for root beer and telling the story behind it. Now his dream has become a reality with the opening of the Museum of Root Beer in Wisconsin Dells.

The museum is located at 513 Broadway at Root Beer Revelry. The museum collection includes over 2,000 brands of root beer throughout the 135 years the drink has been available commercially.
