Two jailed for targeting owners of high value watches are jailed Two men behind robberies targeting the owners of high-value watches in Trafford have been jailed. Niall Whittaker (13/08/1993) of Wisbech Drive, Wythenshawe and Jack Meek (18/04/1995) of Tipton Drive, Wythenshawe were sentenced to five and six years in prison respectively at Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square on Wednesday 23 December 2020 after pleading guilty two counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery. Whittaker also pleaded guilty to a further charge of handling stolen goods. Driving a stolen blue BMW fitted with false number plates, the pair observed a man in his 80s while he was sat outside a café on Ashley Road, Hale at around 4.30pm on Wednesday 12 August 2020.
