Stretched for miles. Reporter the traffic snarled traffic through the friday night commute at one point closing all four southbound lanes. Hours long grid lock followed a fatal accident about 4 00 this afternoon. California Highway Patrol officers say a dump truck and bus collided on southbound highway 101. The truck lay on its side across several lanes of freeway. Early reports said the driver was pinned underneath the truck. I dont know that he was actually pinned under the truck or inside the cab. Reporter emergency crews gave cpr, but the driver died on the scene. About a dozen people were on the 14 express bus. The driver and several passengers suffered minor injuries.
