morning. reporter: it s not much better where i am in the northeast. we re watching for a new storm in the northeast that could bring in another wintery mix. i want to take you out west, where we had all of this wild weather over the weekend, california, much improved as far as weather conditions goverment for today, mostly clear skies for much of the states. there is still one flood warning in effect across clear lake and this is to the west of sacramento because of flooding still going on. very minor. we re still keeping an eye on that, for a storm that will be impacting the area. you can install start to see clouds approaching the pacific northwest. that s something to keep a look at. into the inter mountain west, we are seeing accumulations across utah, also colorado, with several inches of snow across some of the passes. watch out for dangerous driving conditions there. otherwise, heading eastward, a lot of moisture across the carolinas, even in virginia where we yet again saw l
another storm system that is moving through. but i want to show you some flooding video coming out of the northeast. now, the problem is, we are dealing with recent rainfall. this has caused a snow melt, and now we re looking at the flooding situation after we have renewed rainfall. and you re looking at a river there. this is out of new hampshire. you can see crews out there trying to break this up so they don t have an ice jam. again, this is out of new hampshire. cold weather along with the heavy rainfall. now we go to some video coming out of connecticut. and this is showing you water up to a doorknob. this gives you an idea exactly how high the flooding is as i said. we re going to continue to see more problems as we re expecting minor to moderate flooding across parts of the u.s. as i take you back over, i want to show you what s happening on the radar. we are still dealing with this system. and we actually still have a tornado watch down towards the south. yeah, even into the ov
where they have been dealing with the protests there and the whole thing is going to be moving into the northeast as well late tonight and tomorrow morning some, be aware of that if you have travel plans, new york city, down toward d.c., quo have some airport delays. speaking of airport delays, one at this hour, that is chicago o hare, ground delays an hour, people across the country trying to get into chicago o hare and we don t expect that to get much better throughout the day. the good news for you, chicago, at least this suspect a major snowmaker for you. all right, where is this storm going? this is going to be tracking off toward the east, through the great lakes, into the northeast for tomorrow and this is really going to be pushing out of here by tuesday, so a fairly quick-moving storm. everybody on the south side of this thing looking good but everybody on the northside, not looking so good as we are getting that wintery mix. we will show you some of the snowfall accumulation
fort worth, texas. you are bundled up, and it does nod look like texas behind you. reporter: no, it doesn t, good morning. yeah, you know, not texas-like weather now and we are talking about temperatures, 15°, a wind coming from the north about 20 to 30 miles per hour and that makes it feel like -1° -2, right now. and the problem we are dealing with, right now, as we look at state highway 114 here, is we had temperatures around 40° overnight and with rainfall. and what happened then, temperatures plummeted into the 20s and precipitation on the ground froze, and we have more bands of precipitation coming in, wintery mix, sleet, snow and all of that settled on the highways and roads and we ve had several closures of our state highways and flyovers and ramps, on our major interchanges here in north texas. now, obviously, very difficult conditions, we have seen some trucks, kind of spin the camera
that system will bring light snow. a couple inches. eventually north of pittsburgh. you get snow. then tonight the snow intensified. looks like an all out storm. rain exiting the carolina coast. a little bit of wintery mix. areas of central ohio mix of sleet and freezing rain. the white and blue is all snow. later on tonight we re talking snowstorm for northern new england. possibilities of up to three to ten inches of snow. the big cities, boston and new york all rain it looks like during the day for the most part. a little bit of ice this morning. this is not anything close to all the horrible storms you saw. so the weekend forecast a mess on the east coast. sunday looks much better. dallas 39 today, 40 tomorrow. could be light snow and freezing rain. by the afternoon and game time new york city problems at all. hopefully the roads will
