Winter Texans are a longtime tradition in South Texas and have a strong economic impact on the Coastal Bend. The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is making efforts to recognize their contributions.
On Thursday, the community celebrated its 5th annual Winter Texan Appreciation Day, as a way of giving thanks for "Winter Texans" who help boost the local economy.
