west as we are seeing rounds and rounds of this big heavy winter snow. really the only two big systems we are tracking. one on the east coast and one on the west coast. this is a future track and you can pay attention to time stamp in the corner. the system continues to push on-shore. right along the coast in california, mostly rain but as soon as you get elevation, you are talking about snow. 201% of seasonal snowfall already. more snow is on the way and where are we going to see it, northern plains but some of these purple colors are getting up into multiple feet of additional snow that s on the way as we are going to be tracking this system. i will leave you with today s forecast if you re in the middle of the country i showed you where big systems are, out west and east. things are mostly clear, chicago 50 degrees today. plenty of spots that are nice out there but we have winter system that is we are tracking through the weekend. jacqui: my mom up in maine was

minnesota, some area seeing heavier snow already earlier this morning, dakotas, twin cities getting heavy snow early and this is the beginning of it for them, they are not the only ones under winter storm advisory, huge swath of the country to the east coast and everything in orange, blizzard warnings, including the twin cities. visibility is under quarter of mile for three hours, several feet of snow will be falling across the region. it is a large area, dakotas, most of minnesota and up toward minneapolis, you will see ice outside of thisirria. this is major winter system folks are dealing with. we have today, blizzard conditions across the northern plains and we begin to see this shift continuing further to the east, the upper midwest will see ice, snow andin ra. late thursday into friday, this moves to interior new england as
say what they did. they deserve to be in. you can t tell the history of the game without them. sunday s nfc game between the eagles and san francisco 49ers is shaping up to be the most expensive ticket in championship history. buyers wiped out ticketmaster s allotment yesterday morning. and according to the industry search ticket iq, the average price on the secondary market is holding at $2,500 apiece. time for the weather and there she is. meteorologist angie las man. good morning. good morning. a couple of things that i don t think anybody wants to know. we may have airport delays thanks to that winter system in the gulf coast yesterday. a dozen tornados in texas and louisiana yesterday. the major airports could see trouble today. we have snow and rain, again another potential for severe storms. 80 million people under winter weather advisories, watches or warnings at this time. snow stretching into the great lakes, kansas city, up into the
direction before eventually you re talking about the planes stretching into iowa and getting into minnesota, wisconsin, areas where you will see some winter storms, ice and snow, some blowing conditions making roadways a little more treacherous. it s not just what s happening on the northern side of the system. farther south where the air is a little warmer, it is still something we will have to pay attention to. this is not a winter system as far south as this, but it provides the possibility for severe thunderstorms. that is something we are watching tonight into tomorrow. a severe threat here from texas getting into northern louisiana, stretching up across arkansas. maybe some isolated tornadoes with this but certainly big powerful thunderstorms are all going to be on the move as the system marches down across the southeast over the next day or so. temperaturewise, otherwise, if you re outside this area, in the middle of the country, it stays very mild for folks in the east as you l
