Fresh western disturbance is likely to arrive on 06th night / 07th morning. Slight change in the wind pattern is anticipated. Partly cloudy sky is also likely over north and western parts of the state between 06th and 09th January. Under the influence of these 2 factor, cold conditions are likely to ease out during this period.
Earlier, there was a large distinction between west and east and western regions were a little more comfortable with minimums of more than 10 degrees but they have all dipped below 10 degrees now.
West Rajasthan remains much better than eastern parts. Moreover, the temperatures in Rajasthan are lower than the entire plains of North India, making it the coldest state in North Indian Plains.
In view of Western Disturbance approaching the Western Himalayas around December 7, further drop may not be there. Any drop or rise in the minimum will only be marginal.
No active western disturbance is likely in the next one week. Weak systems will move across the mountains between 05th & 06th Dec and 08th & 09th Dec. An active western disturbance is expected around 11-12 Dec.
