The white house says the president will make the announcement at 11 00 a. M. Eastern time in the rose garden. According to reuters, the president s nominee will be either sri srinivasan, who if nominated would be the first indianaamerican, first asianamerican, and first hindu justice on the Supreme Court, or merrick garland, who became chief judge in 2013. Most Senate Republicans have vowed not to consider anyone the president puts forward.
