Winona waits on anticipated vaccine shipments (2/3/2021)
A small number of available COVID vaccines are trickling out to a huge population of people eager to get them, while state distribution plans continue changing from week to week. Winona Health is on a list of locations state officials said will receive vaccines earmarked for seniors, but the local clinic said it hasn’t gotten any more doses yet.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) leaders announced on Monday the state would ship 35,000 doses of vaccine this week to over 100 local clinics and hospitals across the state for distribution to Minnesotans aged 65 and older. Winona Health is the one facility in Winona County on the state’s vaccine locator map (mn.gov/covid19/vaccine/find-vaccine/locations/index.jsp).
