The Winona Ruritan Club held its annual father, daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and great-granddaughter April 27 at the Winona Evangelical Friends Church. President Rob Doyle Jr. called the meeting to order, welcoming all the ladies, and led the group in singing “America.” Vice President Homer Althouse gave the invocation.
Secretary Lee Stamp called the roll of members with 14 present. Each member introduced their guests with 24 ladies in attendance. The club dispensed with the monthly secretary and treasurer reports.
One member, Homer Althouse, plus one guest had a birthday in April and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to them.
The next pancake and sausage breakfast is scheduled for Oct. 9 at the Winona Evangelical Friends Church, with homemade scrapple being made Oct. 8. The club will be taking orders ahead of time for the scrapple and whole hog sausage. As of the meeting, the club had 19 1-pound packages of bulk and 14 1-pound packages of smoked lin
