A lone man caused several calls to police early Christmas afternoon for allegedly checking doors and yelling.
Police tracked down the 43-year-old man and gave him the opportunity to stay home and refrain from disturbing others.
However, they report that his behaviour continued and that the man fled from police, which necessitated the use of a canine unit. He was tracked down in the 700 block of Seventh Street at approximately 2:20 p.m. and arrested.
Neighbours report seeing a heavy police presence during the arrest.
The man admitted to using illicit drugs, according to police, and there was a warrant out for his arrest.
