Party Central Committee plenum completes preparations for 13th Congress
The 15th plenum of the Party Central Committee took place on January 16-17 with the completion of all the contents of its agenda.
At the plenum, the last of the 12th tenure, the Committee discussed and passed the lists of first-time nominees and the special cases to the Committee of the coming 13th tenure, as well as that of the nominees to the key leading positions of the Party and the State, among others.

Hanoi (VNA) – The
personal protective equipment meant to support the
elderly to the Social Protection Department under the Ministry of Labour, War
Invalids and Social Affairs in Hanoi on January 14.
The supplies include gloves, face masks,
anti-droplet face shields, thermometers, and hand sanitizer worth 30,000 USD.
They will be distributed to social protection
centers and community caregivers in high-risk cities and provinces, namely
Hanoi, Hai Duong, Da Nang and Quang Nam.
At the handover ceremony, UNFPA Representative
in Vietnam Naomi Kitahara said the COVID-19 pandemic is amplifying the
vulnerability of the elderly, and that the fatality rate for older people is

Attending the awarding ceremony were Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, among others.
The jury presented one special prize, five A prizes, 10 B prizes, 16 C prizes and 27 consolation prizes.
The 90-episode documentary series “Vietnam in the Ho Chi Minh Era –Televisual Annals”, developed by Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, won the special prize.
