At first glance, the spotted lanternfly looks like an elegant butterfly, speckled with black spots on white wings with a splash of bright red. "The spotted lanternfly is a very good hitchhiker," explained Korman.
Reporting that this year's wine grape's “quality is exceptional,” the Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association says the harvest of the vine fruit is in full swing with sparkling wine berries beginning the picking season in late August while still wine grapes started being harvested in late September.
