SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Two area high school basketball players are hoping to show they are the best dunkers in the state.
Windsor Forest’s D’ante Bass and Long County’s Camryn Johnson are among the 15 participants in the Georgia High School Association Slam Dunk Contest.

The top eight vote getters will advance to next week’s semifinal round. Voting for the first round ends on Thursday at 11:59 p.m.

It was a battle of two squads highly ranked in the GHSA Class AAA boys basketball rankings.When the dust settled, it was Windsor Forest (7-2, 6-1 Region 3-AAA) knocking off the Atom Smashers 69-65.The Knights are the only team to beat Johnson this season. No. 3 Windsor Forest also defeated the Smashers 74-52 earlier this month.No. 4 Johnson (11-2, 4-2 Region 3-AAA) would open the game on an 8-0 run and would lead by as many as 16 points in the second quarter, but Windsor Forest ch
