Sunday traffic looking very much like a weekday rush hour. And tonight a live look at traffic on the bay bridge toll plaza. Still very heavy right now. Good evening everyone. The crews will be working until the last minute. Cal trans says that a little more than 100,000 drivers use this bridge every day. They have to find alternate routes during a very busy weekend. As work continued on the san mateo bridge throughout the day it was stop and go along the bay bridge, an alternate route for many drivers. Not only is it mothers day weekend, but there was a giants game and that alone can cause twice the traffic jam getting in and out of the city.

The victims were identified at Larry Daniels and a member of the union. My coworkers were tears and we didnt know the person involved but you work in that environment and know the ramifications each day. Chris was a senior track engineer and worked for bart three years. Bart Officials Say he and daniels were inspecting the tracks near walnut creek and a bart train on a maintenance run hit and killed them. Ntsb is leading the investigation and will be in walnut creek inspecting the train and records for the next few days. The operator of the train could be interviewed today. Ntsb hope to have that stage, the first phase of the investigation, wrapped up in the next ten days. Now the latest on the bart talks. The board will hold a special meeting this afternoon to discuss the strike and negotiations. The labor strike now enters the fourth day.
